It’s a long way off, but worth writing on your calender. An all-bluegrass event will be held at the Kenneth E. Cowan Civic Center in Lebanon, Missouri on November 3, 2012. The event will feature award-winning Nashville duo Kenny and Amanda Smith, along with a number of top bands from throughout the state. Tickets for the Bluegrass show will be $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Season tickets for this and 2 other shows featuring Suzy Bogguss and Riders in the Sky on March 16 and August 23, respectively, are available for $50 by calling 417-718-1759. Individual show tickets are also available at Walters, Staedtler, and Allen CPA in Lebanon and Camdenton and Morgan Music in Lebanon.

Brothers Ty and Rex Green hail from rural Ray County, Missouri, and have been playing bluegrass music together for 30 years in venues throughout the U.S. and Canada, including Branson and Nashville. They have been joined in the last few years by Rex’s wife Ann and, adding a second generation, Ty’s son, Ty Curtis Green. Together, they blend traditional and contemporary bluegrass and gospel music into a style that is entertaining and wholesome.
