Clyde Edward Beatty, 66, Independence, Mo., passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016. Service will be 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 16, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial will follow in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening, at the chapel. Clyde was born Jan. 24, 1950, in Independence.   1. I can probably speak for many members and other folks who knew Clyde Beatty. We are certainly going to miss him. I always looked forward to seeing him and picking with him. He was a great guy and a good picker and singer. He knew lots of great songs. I don’t remember Clyde ever saying a bad word about anyone.
